Talkers and Doers

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven” – Matthew 7:21

There are two major kinds of active people in the Christian race today, the talkers and the doers. These people are active and very much quite the ones making rounds in the assembly of believers.

Talkers and Doers: How to Walk in the Victories

Our living as children of God is a product of the revelation we have gotten about who we are in Christ. You see, the Word contains those revelations of our ‘in-Christ realities‘. When the revelations of these realities enter into our spirits, they trigger reactions in us. They start proceeding through our lips as confessions of our faith and they begin to influence our walk (actions) by themselves. This affects our personalities and creates our lifestyle.

If you want to walk in the victories of our Lord Jesus Christ (which you should, as a child of God), then you have to open your heart up to the revelation of your victory in Christ that is found in the Word. It’s all in the Word, your health, your finance, family, freedom, etc. – Eph. 1:17-19, Philemon 6

But as these revelations come, they don’t ‘force‘ themselves through us. No, they are quite dependent upon our will and choices. We can start with having the Word on our lips, but we aren’t to remain there. There are a lot of talkers of the faith today but few doers. We have a lot of ‘professors‘ of the faith today but very few ‘actors‘. James, the Apostle, tells us about the danger of not being doers.

Read: Be Jesus

You see, we can say things we can’t give any day, any time. The problem though is that we can’t give it when demand is laid on us.

Don’t get me wrong, the Word and the confession of faith must never leave our mouths. We must be three-times talkers of what we believe. But, the light of our life is revealed only through our works not just through our Words alone. The Lord spoke at length, repeating in the Book of Revelations about works, works, works. James speaks too about the faith being dead without works. Jesus speaks again about the workers of iniquity who were talkers of righteousness. Paul talks about those who professed godliness but denied the power (action, label, fruits), how, through their living. There has to be a balance! Does my talk agree with my walk? Ask yourself that.

(2Cor. 4:13, James 2:12-26, Rev. 2-3, Mark 11:23, Heb. 4:14, Matt. 7:21, 2Tim. 3:1-5)

Talkers and Doers

Doers: Complete the works of faith

Today, complete the works of faith by engaging in those corresponding actions you believe and talk about like loving your neighbor even though they don’t deserve it, forgiving an offense just as Christ forgave you yours, supporting the needy and weak near and among you, putting a smile on someone’s face, sharing the gospel with someone today. These are the manifestations that the world awaits, not just signs and wonders. Such little things are the greatest miracles that the world may ever see while it exists, and only Christians can offer that.- Gal. 5:22-23, Rom. 8:19

So, go out today and be a Christian. Be a doer. Balance your talk with your walk. Balance your prayer with your steps. The grace of God is available for you today for doing this. It’s one step at a time. With each action of what you find in the Word, you get better and better because, by faith, you expose yourself to more grace from the Father.

You are the light of the world. You’re a blessing to your generation. Shine! Let men see and glorify God for your existence today and rejoice at the glory you’ll reflect, in Jesus name. Hallelujah! – Matt. 5:14-16

Go out today and be a Christian. Be a doer. Balance your talk with your walk. Balance your prayer with your steps.
